Police: Woman Accelerated Car Aiming At Victim, Killing Him

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police in Detroit are investigating a fatal hit and run accident on the city's northwest side that has left a 26-year-old man dead.

Witnesses report a woman in a black Ford Fusion was arguing with the 26-year-old victim at 7 Mile and Trinity near Lahser around 7 p.m. when she accelerated the car and drove right into him Tuesday night.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police tell WWJ that a 20-year-old woman is in custody in connection with the incident.
