Police Suspect Foul Play In Death Of Man Found In Ditch In Romulus

ROMULUS (WWJ) - Michigan State Police believe foul play was involved in the death of a man whose body was found in a ditch in Romulus Wednesday.

Police told WWJ Newsradio 950 that a Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) work crew made the discovery in a swampy area, at around 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

The body had decomposed to a point where it was unclear whether the deceased was a man or a woman, according to police.

A tentative identification has been made but authorities aren't releasing that information.

Special Investigations Section detectives are working along with the MSP Forensic Lab on the investigation.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact State Police, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
