Police Still Search For Suspect In Pontiac Car Shooting Case

PONTIAC (WWJ) -- Police are still searching for the person who shot and killed 21-year-old Darion Brekenridge of Pontiac on October 20 at Linda Vista Dr. and Valencia.

Brekenridge was shot in the head and neck as he sat in the driver's seat of his car, while a passenger in his car was wounded.

Tanya Grandberry, Darion's mother, said that minutes before her son was killed, she was laughing with him in her home.

"When they (the police) called my phone, I looked out the window like 'no, he's home,'" Grandberry said. "But then I didn't see his car. But he had just left my room and I can say (it happened) in maybe five minutes or less."

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a $2,500 reward to anyone with information leading to an arrest.  if you have any information about this crime or others, you can call 1-800-SPEAK-UP.

"There's someone out there who knows something," Grandberry urged.
