Police: Speed A Factor In Serious Crash On 7 Mile Road
DETROIT (WWJ) - Authorities say speed appears to be factor in a multi-car crash that has shut down a busy intersection on Detroit's east side.
The accident happened just before 2 a.m. Friday on 7 Mile Road near Ryan Road.
Circumstances leading up to the crash weren't immediately clear, but three vehicles were involved.

Reporting live from the scene, WWJ's Charlie Langton said two SUVs were in the eastbound lane of 7 Mile and a sedan was in the parking lot of Pershing High School, across the street.
At least one person is in serious condition; the conditions of others are unknown.
Resident Sean Oshay wasn't surprised to hear speed likely had something to do with the crash.
"It's normally around 60, 70 miles per hour that people are coming through here, for a street," said Oshay.
Seven Mile Road was closed for hours as police completed their investigation, but has since reopened to traffic.
