Police: Slurpee Toss Leads To Shots Fired During Road Rage Incident
HARRISON TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - A Harrison Township woman is in jail -- following what police say is a road rage incident that escalated to shots being fired.
Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham says a 40-year-old man and a 36- year-old woman got into the altercation near L'anse Cruse Middle School in Harrison Township.
The woman told police that she feared for her life when the man threw a Slurpee at her -- so she fired shots at his vehicle.
However, Sheriff Wickersham says surveillance cameras show a different story.
"But watching the video it was clear that the individual did get out of his car - was exchanging words - but never approached her vehicle, he was always on his side of the vehicle, at which time it was shot - so this technology helped us put this case together," said Wickersham.
