Police Seeking 2 Suspects In Connection With Parking Lot Robbery At Meijer

MT. CLEMENS (WWJ) - Police are seeking help identifying two people in connection with a robbery in the parking lot of the Meijer store in Washington Township.

A 57-year-old woman was putting her groceries into her car around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4 when a man and a woman approached her car.

Police are trying to find the identity of this woman.

The victim told police that a woman grabbed her purse and ran through the parking lot. Witnesses told police that the suspect took the wallet out of the victim's purse and kept running - when other people in the parking lot began to yell, the suspect threw the wallet on the ground and jumped into an older Dodge Durango.

The female suspect is described as heavy set female, possibly Hispanic, she appeared to be in her early twenties. She was wearing a pink "North Face" jacket.

The male suspect is described as a skinny male subject, whose race is not known. He was wearing a black sweatshirt and gray sweatpants. He, too, appeared to be in his early twenties.

According to witnesses, the Dodge Durango is described as an "older model" and it was either brown or dark green.
