Police Seek Suspect Who Stole Salvation Army Donation Kettle In Farmington Hills [PHOTO]

FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) -- Farmington Hills police are on a hunt for a man suspected of stealing a Salvation Army donation kettle Friday afternoon.

Authorities say it happened outside of the Walgreens on Grand River near Eight Mile just before 5 p.m. A witness saw the man take the donation kettle -- including the stand -- before walking away while the bell ringer stepped inside for a brief moment.

The stand was later located behind a nearby business, but the kettle and money remain missing.

The suspect is described as a six-foot tall man in his early 20s. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and khaki pants.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
