Police See Links Among Several Home Invasions

CANTON TOWNSHIP (AP) — Police in a Detroit suburb are looking at links among area home invasions in which men restrained residents and stole items.

Canton Township Police Lt. Pat Sullivan said Friday that a detective from his department plans to speak with investigators in Washtenaw County, which has had three similar residential break-ins this week.

Three men including at least one with a gun forced their way into Canton Township and Ann Arbor homes Wednesday evening. Sullivan wouldn't provide details about how the residents were restrained but Ann Arbor police told The Ann Arbor News the burglars restrained a man, woman and two children with duct tape.

Both were similar to break-ins Monday and Tuesday in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti townships. Among items stolen at the homes were cash, guns, jewelry and electronics.
