Police Searching For Suspect In Abduction, Attack Of Teen Before School

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are asking for help in locating a suspect in a terrifying bus station attack on a teenage girl.

Sgt. Michael Woody says the attack happened around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday near 7 Mile Road and Hawthorne.

"This young 17-year-old female was at a bus stop waiting to go to school when she was abducted by a black male, dark complextion, described to be in his late 50s," said Sgt. Woody. "She was taken to another location, an abandoned home, where she was sexually assaulted."

The girl was treated for injuries at the hospital.
