Police Search For Teens Who Robbed Pizza Delivery Guy At 1 AM

YPSILANTI TWP. (WWJ) - Washtenaw County Sheriff's deputies are looking for two teenagers who ripped off a pizza delivery driver overnight.

The situation unfolded around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of Woodglen, near Michigan Avenue and I-94 in Ypsilanti Township.

The worker told police he went to deliver four large pizzas at the home and when he pulled into the driveway, two young men exited the house and met him on the porch. After handing off the pizzas, one of the men allegedly pulled out a gun, pointed it at the delivery guy's chest and demanded his cell phone and money.

The worker gave the gunman $38 in cash and fled the scene in his car, and the robbers ran back inside the home.

Upon further investigation, police discovered that the residence was actually abandoned.

Police are now trying to find the suspects, described only as black males in their late teens wearing hoodies.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police at 734-971-8400.
