Police Search For Female Murder Suspect In Mount Pleasant After Man Found Shot
MOUNT PLEASANT (WWJ) -- Police are on the hunt for a woman suspected of a homicide in Mount Pleasant on Saturday.
A 39-year-old Fenton man was found dead after being shot multiple times while sitting in his car at the Chase Run apartment complex on Saturday afternoon. Mount Pleasant Police Spokesperson Jeff Browne said that the person of interest fled the scene.
"[She was] driving a green and silver Pontiac Aztec," Browne said. "The driver of the vehicle is an unknown female with the first name of Mary."
Browne also clarified that earlier reports of children in the vehicle were false.
"There was no kid in the immediate area," Browne said. "There was a child's tricycle by the vehicle, so people are making some sort of connection with that. At this time, there's no reason to believe that the tricycle is associated with this homicide."
