Police Search For 3 Men In K-Mart Jewelry Heist [VIDEO]

WATERFORD TWP. (WWJ) - Police are investigating a jewelry heist from an Oakland County K-Mart store.

The incident happened around 4:40 a.m. Monday, April 21 at the K-Mart on Dixie Highway near Williams Lake Road in Waterford Township.

The three suspects were caught on surveillance video smashing their way into the store by breaking through the glass door with a large object. One of the suspects then wedged a shopping cart in the motion-activated sliding doors, so the crooks wouldn't get stuck inside.

The suspects then went running toward the jewelry section with a large brown bag. Police say all three suspects were observed breaking the glass to the jewelry display cases and exiting the store with an undetermined amount of jewelry.

Investigators believe the suspects fled the scene in a light-colored vehicle that was seen in the parking lot just prior to the burglary.

All three suspects were wearing dark clothing and gloves; two of them were wearing masks, while the third suspect was wearing a grey baseball hat and a white hoodie.

Anyone with information on the crime or the suspects is urged to contact an anonymous tip line at 248-674-COPS.
