Police Search Near Palace For Possible Shooter After Car Windows Damaged On I-75

AUBURN HILLS (WWJ) - Police are trying to determine if someone has been shooting at cars on I-75 between Baldwin and Sashabaw Road, near the Palace of Auburn Hills.

Michigan State Police say they have received about eight to ten complaints about motorists' windows being damaged by projectiles while driving through that area on Thursday.

While police believe the cause is likely rocks or other road debris, they were checking the woods and surrounding areas, Thursday afternoon, to see if there is any evidence of a shooter as an investigation continues.

A heavy police presence was reported in the area and a helicopter was spotted searching from the sky.

No injuries have been reported.
