Police: Rochester Hills Man Hospitalized, Struck By Car In Domestic Dispute

ROCHESTER (WWJ) - A young man is hospitalized and a young woman is jailed after what police says was domestic dispute early Monday morning in Oakland County

Police say they responded, at around 3:45 a.m., to a report about an assault involving a motor vehicle in the area of Parkdale (24 Mile Rd.) and Letica in the city of Rochester.

Investigators determined that a 24-year-old Rochester Hills man had been struck by a 22-year-old Shelby Township woman's car during an "altercation."

The man was outside the car, hanging on, police said, when the woman took off.

He was taken to a local hospital where he was last reported in stable condition, and the woman was arrested.

Parkdale was closed between Letica and Stony Pointe Dr. while Rochester police officers and Shelby Township police officers collected evidence, but the roadway has since reopened.

Police said two people involved were in a romantic relationship. They did not release any details as to what they were fighting about.

Expected charges against the woman are pending.

No names have been released and an investigation continues.
