Police Release Video In Shooting Of 7-Year-Old On Bike, Ask For Public's Help

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the drivers of two vehicles who may have information about the shooting of a 7-year-old Detroit girl.

India Williams, 7, was caught in an exchange of gunfire while riding a bike near her home at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014.

She was shot as two cars carried out a high speed chase on Charest street near Eight Mile Road in northeast Detroit.

India was shot in the shoulder and chest.

On the video, police said: "(We) believe these vehicles may have information pertaining to this incident and are considered persons of interest in this matter." The two vehicles in the video, a dark colored Chrysler minivan and a white Chevy Impala, were seen in the area around the time of the shooting, police said.
