Police Probe Woman's Death After Possible Attempted Break-In

FLINT (AP) -- A woman has died after being detained by residents during a possible attempted break-in at a Flint home.

Police Chief James Tolbert tells The Flint Journal that the woman was dead when officers arrived about 5 p.m. Friday.

Tolbert says people living in the house believed the woman was trying to get inside and that she stopped breathing while they detained her.

How the woman died was not immediately known. Her death is under investigation.
