Update: Man Reported Missing On Detroit's West Side Found Safe

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police say a 65-year-old man who was reported missing on Friday has been found safe.

Police said Saturday morning that Neckalas Maddox was located and is doing fine. No further details on his recovery were released.

Maddox was reported missing after disappearing from his home near the Southfield Freeway and Outer Drive on the city's west side.

Officials and family members were especially worried because Maddox suffers from dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
