Police: Masked Crooks Steal Menthol Cigarettes, Cash From 7-Eleven

MACOMB (WWJ) - Police in Macomb County are searching for two men who stole cash and cigarettes from a local 7-Eleven store in the middle of the night.

The incident took place around 3:55 a.m. Friday at the 7-Eleven on the corner of 22 Mile and Romeo Plank roads in Macomb.

According to the sheriff's office, two masked men entered the store and approached the clerk. One of the men brandished an assault rifle, while the other wielded a handgun.

Police say the suspects took several packs of Marlboro menthol cigarettes and approximately $80 or $100 in cash before fleeing on foot.

The first suspect is described as a light-skinned black man, wearing red gloves, an olive-colored knit hat, olive-colored long-sleeve shirt and blue once-piece jumpsuit. This suspect was carrying the assault rifle.

The second suspect is described as a white man, wearing a black baseball hat, red t-shirt over a white long-sleeve shirt, blue one-piece jumpsuit and Converse tennis shoes. This suspect was carrying a dark-colored handgun.
