Police: Marine AWOL From N. Carolina Threatened Family, May Be On Way To Oakland County

OAKLAND COUNTY (WWJ) - The search is on for a marine who went AWOL from Camp Legeune in North Carolina and may be headed to Pontiac.

The U.S. Marine Corps has been in contact with the Oakland County Sheriff's Department regarding 21-year old Clenard Gee-Simmons who broke out of his lockdown unit.

Gee-Simmons, who had an AK-47, has threatened his ex-wife and family who live in Pontiac. The family is taking precautions.

Gee-Simmons may be driving a teal Toyota Camry with license plate DEP 1561 -- like the one pictured.
