Police: Man Shot 3 Times During Fight At Harper Woods BP

HARPER WOODS (WWJ) - A 25-year-old Detroit man has been arrested after he allegedly shot another man three times during a fight at a Harper Woods gas station.

It happened at around 11:15 p.m. Sunday at the BP on Harper at Vernier, according to police who say the shooter does have a concealed pistol license.

Police said the shooting was the result of some sort of altercation but didn't provide any details as to if or how the two are acquainted, or about what may have led up to the incident.

The shooter was being held at the Harper Woods Department of Public Safety, Monday morning, awaiting an arraignment on formal charges.

The victim, a 40-year-old man, remained at St. John Hospital where he was listed in serious condition. Police say he is expected to survive.

No one else was hurt.

No names have been released.

Police are looking for any witnesses to the shooting as an investigation continues. Anyone with information should call police at 313-343-2530.
