Police: Man Pulled From Grand River In Lansing Drowned

LANSING (AP) — A 22-year-old man whose body was pulled earlier this summer from the Grand River in Lansing died of an accidental drowning.

Lansing police say Friday in a release that they have closed Brandon Mitchner's death investigation.

Mitchner's body was found June 30 by a dive team near the Elm Street Bridge. Police say he was reportedly intoxicated when last seen by a friend as they walked near the river. An earlier search didn't find him.
