Police: Man Climbed Through Neighbor's Window, Sexually Assaulted Her

PONTIAC (WWJ) - A 33-year-old Pontiac man is behind bars after authorities say he climbed through neighbor's bedroom window and sexually assaulted her.

According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, the 31-year-old victim was asleep in her bed at her home in the 700 block of Monticello, near Telegraph and Cass, when she was attacked Sunday.

The victim told deputies her attacker, whom she recognized as "Eric" from across the street, ran out the front door following the assault.

Detectives said they were unable to interview the suspect at the time of his arrest because he was drunk.

He's being held at the Oakland County Jail.

His name will be released at the time of his arraignment on home invasion and criminal sexual conduct charges.
