LYONS TOWNSHIP  (WWJ/AP) - State police say they're looking for a driver who hit and killed a 42-year-old pedestrian on an Ionia County road, then fled.

State police say that 42-year-old Thomas Ruehs of Lyons was hit early Sunday morning on East Michigan 21 in Lyons Township.

Police say it appears Ruehs was in the westbound lane when the vehicle hit him. He died at the scene.

State police say the vehicle probably has extensive front-end damage and may have damage to its windshield.
