Police: Long Running Feud Between Neighbors Turns Deadly

DEARBORN HEIGHTS (WWJ) - Police say long-running dispute between two neighbors in Dearborn Heights turned deadly for one of them.

The incident happened Wednesday around 6:45 p.m. on Fairwood Drive, east of Inkster Road.

Dearborn Heights police say two men, both in their 60's, got into an argument. Police didn't elaborate on a motive but said the confrontation escalated into gunfire, leaving one man dead.

Police quickly arrived on the scene after receiving a 911 call and took the shooter into custody without further incident.

The case is expected to be handed off to the Wayne County Prosecutor's office for review of charges.
