Police: Kalamazoo Suspect Cooperating, Talking About Incident

DETROIT (WWJ) - Lt. Dale Hinz of Michigan State Police says Jason Dalton is cooperative and talking about the incident. Police are not saying there is a confession but Hinz believes that Dalton understands the severity of the situation.

"He does, yes he does. There are no concerns, at least in my mind, that he doesn't understand the situation, and we'll be working through that in the next several days," said Hinz.

The 45-year-old Dalton was arrested Sunday in connection with a weekend rampage that left six people dead in western Michigan Saturday.
