Police Investigating At Scene Of Deadly Shooting In Inkster

INKSTER (WWJ) - Police are on the scene of deadly shooting in Inkster early Monday morning.

Michigan State Police say the victim and his friends were riding around the city of Inkster just after midnight when their car broke down on Oakland near John Daly.

The victim, a 27-year-old, pushed his car with help from the driver of a small silver 4-door sedan. About 10 minutes later, the victim was shot -- by an unidentified suspect who then fled the scene.

No details on what may have led to the shooting, and no information on possible suspects.

Police are asking that the individual who helped push the broken down vehicle to contact them.
