Police Investigate Teen's Death In Groveland Township

GROVELAND TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Authorities are investigating the death of a 14-year-old girl in northern Oakland County.

Michigan State Police say troopers responded around 5:35 p.m. Monday to the 5500 block of Groveland Road in Groveland Township after receiving a report that the teen was unconscious and not breathing.

Troopers arrived on the scene with EMS but there was nothing they could do to save the girl. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives from the Special Investigation Section were contacted and are continuing the investigation.

An autopsy is expected to be conducted Tuesday morning.
