Police Investigate Fatal Shooting On Detroit's East Side; 4 People Taken Away In Squad Cars

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are trying to figure out exactly what led to a man's shooting death on the city's east side.

The shooting happened early Thursday morning at a home on East Outer Drive near Dickerson Avenue, in a neighborhood just east of City Airport.

It's not exactly clear what happened leading up to the shooting, but one man received a fatal wound. The victim is believed to be about 19-years-old.

Reporting live from the scene, WWJ's Mike Campbell said police are speaking with possible witnesses. Four people were taken away from the scene in squad cars, although police say no arrests have been made.

An investigation is ongoing.
