Police Investigate Apparent Murder Of 2-Year-Old Child

SOUTH ROCKWOOD (WWJ) - A two-year old child is dead in South Rockwood and authorities believe he might be the victim of a homicide.

Police say they received a 911 call on Saturday reporting a child that was hurt at the Village Place Apartments off Carleton Rockwood Road, near I-75 and South Huron River Drive.

The child was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. According to reports, the cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma.

Other circumstances surrounding the case were not immediately clear.

Police have no suspects, but say an investigation is ongoing.
