Police Make Arrest In Farmington Hills Home Invasion

FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) - Police have arrested a person believed to be responsible for an armed home invasion.

Farmington Hills police said an armed man broke in to a resident's apartment Monday morning, stole several items, then fled. Police said the resident heard noises in his apartment and saw a man with a BB gun and knife.

After a brief struggle, the suspect jumped from a second floor window. Police found the gun and knife at the scene, but the victim's Cadillac Escalade was stolen. The suspect was wearing a gray hoodie and a bandana over his face.

It happened at Hunter's Ridge Apartments near 14 Mile Road and Orchard Lake.

The vehicle's whereabouts was still unknown as of Monday afternoon.

Police said the suspect was wearing a gray hoodie and a bandana over his face.  His name was not immediately released.

An investigation is ongoing.
