Police Identify Man Fatally Shot In Car In Inkster

INKSTER (WWJ) - Michigan State Police have released the identity of a man who was shot to death in Inkster over the weekend.

Investigators say 53-year-old James Nguyen was sitting in his car. in the area of Inkster Rd. and Michigan Ave., when a man walked up to him, shot him and ran away. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests had been made as of Monday afternoon.

Police describe the suspect as a light-skinned black man, 5 feet, 7 inches tall and about 30 years old. He was wearing a gray hooded jacket with dark jeans and Timberland boots.

He was spotted by witnesses running away from the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to call Michigan State Police.
