Police Identify Body Of Man Found In Michigan Lake

BLOOMINGDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A man whose body was found in a southwestern Michigan lake has been identified as 75-year-old Ronald Stickney.

Thursday that investigators still were trying to learn how Stickney ended up in the waters of Three Legged Lake reports The Kalamazoo Gazette.

Sheriff's divers located the body Wednesday evening in about seven feet of water near Bloomingdale Township in Van Buren County, southwest of Grand Rapids.

Police say an angler noticed the victim's empty small boat on the lake and became suspicious.

State police Lt. Dale Hinz said it was not known if Stickney had been fishing.
