Police: Gunman On The Loose After Dice Game Shooting

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are searching for the man who opened fire during a dice game, striking a 23-year-old man several times.

The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. last Friday at a home in the 19300 block of Helen, in a neighborhood near 7 Mile Road and Van Dyke Avenue on the city's east side.

According to police, the two men were involved in a dice game when the suspect apparently produced a handgun and began firing several shots. The suspect then fled the scene in a gray Dodge Magnum.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition with multiple gunshots wounds.

Police say the suspect is a 25-year-old black male with dread-lock braids. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
