Police Find Runaway Teen's GPS Tether In Southfield, No Sign Of Girl

BLOOMFIELD TWP. (WWJ) - Police are asking the public for help in locating a 14-year-old girl who has run away from home so many times in the past, she was wearing a GPS tether.

Bloomfield Township police say Lajoy Ross was last seen around 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9 at Bloomfield Hills High School on Andover Road, near Telegraph and Long Lake roads.

Police say Ross has a history of running away and was on a GPS tether, which was located in a yard in the 29000 block of Marshall in Southfield.

Police believe Ross  is still in the metro Detroit area. She has been known to frequent the city of Oak Park.

Ross was last seen wearing a gray shirt, green and blue vest, dark blue jeans, and white UGG boots.

Anyone with information on Ross' whereabouts is urged to contact police at 248-433-7755.
