Police: Driver Of This Car May Connect To Murder Of Recent College Grad [VIDEO]

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police have released a short video clip that they say may help find those responsible for the shooting death of a woman early Christmas morning.

The two-second video shows a car speeding away, on Carlysle street in the 8-Mile and Gratiot area, and running a stop sign, in the same area where 22-year-old Christina Samuel was shot and killed as she sat in her car with a friend.

Samuel's brother, Christopher Moore says he's pleased with Detroit police handling of the case.

"Every time I speak to them they give us some new confidence," said Moore. "They are getting leads, they are getting tips - they have information. They are building a case here."

Investigators would like to talk to occupants in the car shown on the video.

"What's suspicious to me is they are just blowing through that stop sign and flying down that residential street," Moore noted. "I don't want to assume too much, and even though it's a small clip, it a start."

A $2,500 reward is being offered in the case.

If you have any information regarding this incident, you are asked to contact Detroit police or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) SpeakUp.
