Police: Cocaine Mixed In With Cash To Bail Out Jailed Friend

CLINTON TOWNSHIP (AP) - A 51-year-old Clinton Township man is in jail and expected to be arraigned Monday on drug charges after police say they found a packet of cocaine mixed in with cash he used to bail a friend out of jail.

Lt. Curt Randall tells The Macomb Daily the man went to the police station on Saturday to bail his friend out of lockup.

The packet of cocaine was mixed in with cash he pulled out of his pocket and gave to the desk officer.

Randall says the man claimed he didn't know how the drugs got into his pocket.
