Police: Car Flips Off I-275 Onto 8 Mile Road

FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) - Miraculously it appears there were no injuries, according to police, when a car went tumbling over a bridge Tuesday off I-275.

It begin with a two car crash, early Tuesday afternoon, in Farmington Hills.

Michigan State Police Lt. Mike Shaw said one car pushed another car off the roadway and that vehicle went over the median, then flipping over onto 8 Mile Rd.

Westbound 8 Mile Road was closed at I-275. The left two lanes of southbound I-275 were also shut down, but had reopened by 2:45 p.m.

Police along with EMS were on the scene, although Shaw said it at least initially appeared that no one was hurt.

It was not immediately clear who was at fault for the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
