Police: Buried Remains Might Be Missing Michigan Woman

MUSKEGON COUNTY (WWJ) -- Muskegon County police believe they may have found the body of a woman who has been missing for just over a year.

Roosevelt Park police chief David Boone says the buried remains were found after a tip lead them to a rural area.

Bobbie Maples, 32, disappeared in December 2014, 11 days after giving birth to a baby girl. She went missing after reportedly going to visit the infant at a hospital.

Boone says the identity of the body hasn't been determined yet.

Boone said that police have a suspect in custody who is "incarcerated for an unrelated matter."
