Police: Baby Found In Back Seat After Stopping Car Involved In Chase

DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - Police say a person was taken into custody after leading police on a chase in an SUV with a baby inside that began in suburban Detroit.

The chase began early Monday in the Grosse Pointe suburbs as the SUV took off on Alter near Jefferson and the driver reached speeds of at least 60 mph on surface streets according to TV reports.

The chase ended several miles away in Detroit, where police found the baby in a car seat in the SUV. No injuries were reported.
