Missing 81-Year-Old Canton Woman Found Safe

CANTON (WWJ) - Police telling WWJ that a missing 81-year-old woman has been found.

Johnnie Hughes went to a friend's house in the 16000 block of Wyoming on Saturday morning. Around 11 a.m. she spoke with her daughter and told her she'd be spending the night and would return home on Sunday. The family has not heard from her since that time.

Hughes has a light brown complexion, brown eyes, gray hair and she wears glasses. She was last seen wearing all brown clothing.

She drives a silver 2010 Chevy Malibu -- four door -- Michigan license plate 9KEY17.

Hughes is deaf and is going through the early stages dementia.

Early Monday morning police report that Hughes was found safe and has been reunited with family.
