Police Arrest Suspect In Marquette County Hit-Run

POWELL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - State police say authorities have arrested a suspect in the hit-and-run death of a 54-year-old female pedestrian in Marquette County three months ago.

The state police post in Negaunee says a passing motorist saw the body of Robin Rahoi of Big Bay on Dec. 17.

The site is in Powell Township, about 25 miles northwest of Marquette.

On Monday, the post announced that police have arrested a suspect on charges of failing to stop at the scene of a fatal accident. The crime can bring up to 15 years in prison.

State police say they're withholding the suspect's name until after an arraignment in district court. The suspect was being held in the Marquette County jail.
