Police Arrest Man In Connection To Threat Made To High School, Students

REDFORD (WWJ) - A 19-year-old man is under arrest for an alleged threat to Redford Union High School.

Police say he threatened to blow the roof off Redford Union High School and cut students. Redford Police Lt. David Holt says a 19-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly making the threat yesterday on social media via his cellphone.

"My understanding is that a post was made, through social media, I believe it was Twitter, that was observed by students of the school and in that post was a vague threat, but a serious threat toward the school and toward school students," said Holt.

The man is expected to be arraigned Thursday. School was in session Wednesday, with extra police patrols.
