Police: 2 Dead In Monroe County Likely Murder-Suicide

RAISINVILLE TWP. (WWJ) - Police are investigating the deaths of two people found in their Monroe County home as a possible murder-suicide.

Sheriff Dale Malone said the bodies were found just before 3 p.m. Wednesday by fire crews responding to a blaze at a home in the 3500 block of Heiss Road in Raisinville Township, about 35 miles southwest of Detroit.

After entering the home and extinguishing the flames, firefighters discovered the human remains of two people and a dog, Malone said.

Investigators are awaiting autopsy results to officially determine causes of death. Malone said evidence located at the scene leads detectives to believe this is a murder and suicide.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact police at 734-240-7530.
