Police: 13-Year-Old Boy Dies After Accidentally Shooting Self

LANSING (AP) - Police say a 13-year-old boy has died after accidentally shooting himself in Lansing.

The Lansing State Journal and WILX-TV report Branden Bernard Holbert died after being shot on Friday afternoon and being hospitalized over the weekend.

Officer Robert Merritt says the shooting is under investigation.

Details about where the boy got the gun weren't immediately released.
