Pizza Delivery Guy Robbed By Masked Gunman In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - Authorities are searching for a gunman who robbed a pizza delivery driver on Detroit's east side.

The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. Friday in the 4000 block of Stockton, near Nevada Avenue and Ryan Road, just south of 7 Mile Road.

According to police, the 21-year-old victim had just delivered a pizza when he was approached by the armed suspect, who demanded his money.

The victim handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and his cell phone, and the suspect fled the scene. The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, about 5'3" tall. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a black ski mask.

The suspect could be the same man wanted for robbing a postal worker in a similar manner earlier Friday. The crime took place about 12 miles away, but the suspect description is exactly the same.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 313-596-5540.
