Pistons Trade Rumor: Could Paul George Be Coming To The Pistons?

The Detroit Pistons are currently 12-12 and are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference -- If the playoffs were to start a quarter way through the season.

With the return of Reggie Jackson, I expect the Pistons to start winning more consistently.

Friday afternoon, a juicy Pistons trade rumor hit the internet.

ClickonDetroit.com was the first to put this rumor out to the public. Citing a website from Headlines and Global News, the rumor is the Pistons could trade for Indiana Pacers superstar Paul George.

The Pistons would get Paul George and Monta Ellis from the Pacers for Tobias Harris, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Stanley Johnson and the Pistons unprotected 2017 first round pick -- as well as 2018 and 19 unprotected first round picks. ESPN's trade machine does indeed say the deal would be possible.

My opinion on the entire deal is that the story is erroneous. Why would either team make this deal? I also haven't heard of the websites that are being sourced, which makes me suspicious.
