Pistons Assistant Coach Tim Hardaway Receives 3-Game Suspension For DWI

AUBURN HILLS (AP) — Detroit Pistons assistant coach Tim Hardaway has been suspended for three games after pleading no contest last month to a drunken driving charge.

The NBA announced the suspension Friday.

The Detroit Free Press reported last month that Hardaway was sentenced to 18 months of probation and 10 days of community service following his plea.

Hardaway, a five-time All-Star as a player, was hired by the Pistons as an assistant in 2014, shortly after Stan Van Gundy took over as coach and team president.
