The Pistons were in need of a backup PG this offseason and apparently have found their man in Ish Smith.

Smith spent last season with the Philadelphia 76ers after being traded from the New Orleans Pelicans after appearing in 27 games for them.

In the 50 games Smith played in for the 76ers last season he averaged 14.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 7.0 assists. According to Keith Pompey who write for the Philly Inquirer, says the deal is for three years and worth $18 million.

Smith played his college basketball at Wake Forest University and has been in the NBA since 2010-11 season. He has played with the Raptors, Rockets, Grizzlies, Warriors, Magic, Bucks, Suns, Thunder, Pelicans and 76ers.
