Pilot Hurt When Small Plane Crashes In Western Michigan

RAVENNA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - The pilot of an ultra-light aircraft has been taken to the hospital after his plane crashed in western Michigan.

The Muskegon Chronicle and television stations WZZM and WOOD report the 68-year-old Lamont man suffered undisclosed injuries and was taken to a Muskegon hospital after the Friday afternoon crash. He was the only person aboard.

The small plane went down in Muskegon County's Ravenna Township and into a ditch.

Michigan State Police and Federal Aviation Administration officials are investigating.
