Pickup Slides Into School Bus; Two Children Hurt

BATTLE CREEK (AP) — Authorities say two children were injured when a pickup truck slid into a school bus on a snowy southern Michigan roadway.

Police in Battle Creek say the pickup's driver was unable to stop and collided with the bus outside Verona Elementary School about 8:15 a.m. Wednesday.

The Battle Creek Enquirer says that the two children were preparing to get off the bus and bumped their heads. It says paramedics examined them.

Police say they ticked the truck's driver.

In Saginaw, police say a school bus loaded with children collided with two other vehicles Wednesday afternoon. Officer Sal Salazar tells The Saginaw News that all the children escaped injury.
